Monstercolors Metal Etch-Tech Primer is a quick drying chromate free etch primer providing outstanding anti corrosive properties and excellent adhesion to ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
It should be overcoated within 45 minutes to one hour, otherwise it may have a negative finish on your topcoat. It can also be used in conjunction with powder coatings.
Monstercolors Etch-Tech bare metal primer contains a high proportion of zinc dust and gives high performance corrosion protection . This is achieved by its excellent adhesion, sacrificial and self-healing properties.
Ensure surfaces to be coated are dry. They must be cleaned, using the appropriate Monstercolors product to remove all traces of contaminants.
Suitable respiratory equipment should be worn when spraying.
Suitable use substrates: examples of ferrous metals are: steel and carbon steel. Lightweight metals, such as: chromium, nickel, cast iron and galvanized metals. Examples of ferrous metals are: aluminium, copper, lead, tin, zinc.
